I think it is beneficial to tell yourself that giving a speech in front of people is not a huge deal. All you are doing is talking to a group of people and sharing the knowledge that you have on a specific topic. They are not expecting you to give them the answers to solving the country’s economic problems or something outlandish like that! Secondly, remember that you do not have to be perfect! If you have an idea of where you want to go with your speech and you accidentally go out of order or skip a point completely, remember that your audience does not know that! Lastly, being prepared for your speech is a sure fire way to relieve anxiety. If you have a plan and direction to what you want to talk about, you will feel much more confident in your ability. Confidence leads to positivity in what you are doing!
